Kebijakan Plagiasi
The Editorial Team of the Journal of Applied Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Technology (JACEIT) acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy outlining specific actions (sanctions) to be taken if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in the Journal of Applied Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Technology (JACEIT).
Therefore, before submission, JACEIT strongly recommends that authors independently check their manuscripts for plagiarism. If an article is declared accepted, JACEIT will conduct a plagiarism screening before publication.
Definition
Plagiarism is an intentional or unintentional act of obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or recognition for a scientific work by quoting part or all of another party’s work and/or scientific work and claiming it as one’s own, without properly and adequately acknowledging the source.
Therefore:
-
Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
-
Material taken verbatim from other sources must be clearly identified so that it is distinguishable from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and determining appropriate actions according to the level of detected plagiarism, based on the following guidelines:
Levels of Plagiarism
-
Copying short passages from another article without citing the source.
Action: The author will receive a warning and be required to revise the text and provide proper citation. -
Copying a substantial portion of another article without proper citation and without acknowledging the source.
Action: The submitted article will be rejected for publication in the Journal of Applied Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Technology (JACEIT), and the author may be sanctioned by being prohibited from publishing in the journal.
All authors of a submitted article are responsible for its content. If an article is determined to contain plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same sanctions.
If an author is proven to have submitted a manuscript to the Journal of Applied Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Technology (JACEIT) while simultaneously submitting it to another journal, and this is discovered during the review process or after publication, the author will receive the sanction described in point 2 above, and the article will be withdrawn.
If acts of plagiarism are identified beyond the cases described above, the editors of the Journal of Applied Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Technology (JACEIT) reserve the right to impose sanctions in accordance with the editorial team’s policies.
