This field covers the application of engineering mechanics in concrete, steel, timber, and composite structures. It also includes applications in earthquake engineering for buildings and bridges.

2. Construction Management

The field of construction management includes the application of cost estimation optimization, project scheduling, project management, tender/bid document analysis, economic feasibility studies of projects, matters related to construction law and permits, and the organization of on-site work to ensure projects are completed on time.

3. Advanced Materials

This field focuses on innovative applications in developing construction materials with novelty in terms of durability, lightweight properties, strength/quality, and cost-effectiveness, which can be implemented in civil engineering structures.

4. Hydrotechnics and Water Resources

The hydrotechnics and water resources field includes water-related civil engineering such as the application of hydrology in predicting climate and weather changes, analyzing surface and groundwater flow, sediment load analysis, flood hydrograph analysis, and related issues.
Hydraulic applications include the analysis and design of water structures such as reservoirs, small dams, retention ponds, weirs, dams, drainage channels, irrigation structures and canals, river protection structures, and river normalization.
The water resources field also includes optimization and management of water resources for agriculture, plantations, and forestry, as well as water and soil conservation analysis and related conservation structures.

5. Geotechnical Engineering

This field covers the structure and properties of various soils and rocks in supporting structures built upon them. The scope includes field investigations (soil condition surveys), laboratory investigations, and the design of soil and rock structures such as embankments, excavations, soft soil tunnels, rock/mountain tunnels, earth dams, rock-fill dams, and others.

6. Transportation Engineering

This field includes transportation systems in both planning and implementation. The scope includes construction and regulation of highways, railways, airport construction, terminals, stations, ports, and their management.

7. Environmental Engineering

The environmental engineering field addresses environmental issues and challenges. Its scope includes the provision of clean water facilities and infrastructure, wastewater management, river pollution, groundwater contamination, noise and air pollution, sanitation engineering, and water quality management.

8. Surveying / Geomatics / Remote Sensing

This field includes the application of land surveying and mapping to solve geographical and earth surface condition problems through satellite imagery and remote sensing. It also includes the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and related software tools.

9. Infrastructure Technology Engineering

This field involves the application of civil engineering knowledge in designing and constructing infrastructure, as well as implementing infrastructure technology for sustainable and environmentally oriented development.
