Author Guidelines
1. General Information
The Journal of Advanced Vocational Information and Communication Technology (JAVICT) publishes original research articles and review papers in the field of vocational and applied Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Manuscripts submitted to JAVICT must present novel contributions, demonstrate technical rigor, and show clear relevance to vocational education, applied engineering, or industry practice.
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or conference.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1 Format and Layout
Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word and formatted as follows:

2.2 Manuscript Length

Page limits include all content (figures, tables, references, and appendices).
3. Manuscript Structure
3.1 Title
The title should be concise, informative, and specific, clearly reflecting the content of the manuscript.

Alignment: Centered
Avoid abbreviations, symbols, and formulas where possible.
3.2 Author Information
Provide the following information for all authors:

3.3 Abstract
The abstract should succinctly summarize:

Research background and objectives

Methods or approach

Key results

Main conclusions
The abstract must be 150–200 words and should not contain references, figures, or equations.
3.4 Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords that reflect the main topics of the manuscript and support indexing and discoverability.
4. Main Sections
Manuscripts should include the following sections:
Introduction
Clearly describe the research background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study. The introduction should position the work within the relevant literature.
Methods
Describe the research design, methodology, algorithms, experimental setup, data sources, and analysis procedures in sufficient detail to allow replication.
Results and Discussion
Present the results clearly and systematically, supported by figures and tables where appropriate. Discuss the findings critically in relation to existing work and practical implications.
Conclusion
Summarize the main findings and contributions of the study. Indicate limitations and propose directions for future research where relevant.
Acknowledgment (optional)
Acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that contributed to the research but are not listed as authors.
Author’s Note (if applicable)
Provide additional remarks relevant to the research or publication context, if necessary.
Authors’ Biographies
Include a brief biography for each author (Cambria, 12 pt), summarizing academic background, current affiliation, and research interests.
References
List all cited sources in accordance with the IEEE referencing style.
5. Formatting Guidelines
5.1 Headings

Sub-subsection headings: Italic, Cambria 12 pt
Headings must be applied consistently throughout the manuscript.
5.2 Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).

Each table and figure must have a clear caption and be referenced in the text.

Ensure that figures are of sufficient resolution and readability.
5.3 Equations

Use Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType.

Number equations sequentially and align numbers to the right, e.g., (1), (2), (3).
6. Citations and References
JAVICT follows the IEEE citation style:

Citations in the text should appear in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2]–[4].

For works with three or more authors, use et al. in the text (e.g., McDonnell et al. [1]).

7. Ethical Considerations
7.1 Originality and Plagiarism
All manuscripts must be original. JAVICT applies plagiarism detection software, and manuscripts with significant overlap will be rejected.
7.2 Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research or interpretation of results.
7.3 Data Availability
Authors should retain research data and be prepared to provide supporting materials upon reasonable request for verification purposes.
8. Submission and Review Process

Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the online system: JAVICT Submission.

Review Process: All submissions undergo editorial screening and peer review.

Editorial Decision: Authors will be notified of the decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) via the online system and email.
9. Article Processing Charge (APC)
The Article Processing Charge (APC) for the Journal of Advanced Vocational Information and Communication Technology (JAVICT) is IDR 0.00.
There are no fees for manuscript submission, processing, or publication.
