Author Guidelines
- Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be formatted in a single-column layout on A4 paper. The margins must be set as follows:- Top margin: 2.0 cm
- Left, right, and bottom margins: 2.5 cm
- The manuscript must be prepared using Microsoft Word, single-spaced, with Cambria font, size 12 pt.
- Manuscript length:
- Original research articles: maximum 15 pages
- Review or survey papers: maximum 20 pages
- Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be structured as follows:- Title
The title should be concise, informative, and written in bold Cambria 16 pt, centered. - Author Information
Include the full names, affiliations, and countries of all authors, as well as the corresponding author’s email address. - Abstract
The abstract must summarize the research background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions within 150–200 words. No references should be included in the abstract. - Keywords
Include 3–5 keywords to enhance searchability and indexing. - Main Sections
The manuscript should contain the following sections:- Introduction: Describe the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Methods: Explain the research design, algorithms, experimental setup, and data acquisition process.
- Results and Discussion: Present findings with detailed explanations and critical analysis. This section may include sub-sections (e.g., Formatting Equations, Citation and Referencing Guidelines) and sub-subsections as needed.
- Conclusion: Summarize key insights and propose future research directions.
- Acknowledgment (optional): Recognize contributors, institutions, or funding sources.
- Author’s Note (if applicable): Provide additional remarks related to the research or publication.
- References: List all cited sources following the IEEE citation format.
- Authors’ Biographies: Include a brief biography for each author (Cambria, 12 pt).

- Font & Spacing: Use Cambria 12 pt, single-spaced, with fully justified text.
- Tables & Figures: Must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and clearly referenced in the text.
- Equations: Use Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType and number equations sequentially (e.g., (1), (2), (3)).
- Headings:
- Title: Bold, Cambria 16 pt, centered.
- Main Section Heading: Bold, Cambria 12 pt.
- Subsection Heading: Bold, Cambria 12 pt.
- Sub-subsection Heading: Italic, Cambria 12 pt.
- Citation and References
- The journal follows the IEEE citation format.
- Citations in the text should appear in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2]–[4].
- For works with three or more authors, use et al. in the text when mentioning the authors (e.g., McDonnell et al. [1]) and list all required authors in the reference list according to IEEE style.
- The reference list should be formatted in IEEE style, single-spaced, with Cambria 12 pt font, and ordered according to the citation sequence in the text.
- Ethical Considerations
- Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original and free of plagiarism. The journal uses plagiarism detection software.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research.
- Data Availability: Authors should be prepared to provide supporting data upon request to verify the results.
- Submission Process
- Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted via the online system: JAVICT Submission.
- Review Process: All submissions undergo a single-blind peer review process.
- Acceptance Notification: Authors will be informed of the editorial decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) via the online system and email.
- Article Processing Charge
The Article Processing Charge (APC) for the Journal on Advanced Vocational Information and Communication Technology (JAVICT) is IDR 0.00, meaning there is no fee for manuscript submission, processing, or publication.
